Each person who chooses this form of body adornment has their own personal reasons. Whether the resulting scar is aesthetic or symbolic, it gives the owner a lot. My approach to scarification focuses on the individual’s personal growth. Just imagine the strength and self-awareness required for someone to willingly adorn their body with a scar—preparing, working with their psyche, and finding release. In ancient tribes, scarification was performed as a ritual to mark a child’s readiness to become a man or a woman. This process empowered them so much that everything in their life thereafter became manageable. That is why I chose this path—to be here for you, for those who decide to take this journey… to offer you my hand and guide you through it.
